Things not going right?

While we hope you have the most excellent time settling into your new course, university, city (or all three) there might be points during your studies where things don’t go right. It’s important that you know where you can go for help. At Sheffield, you’re never on your own.

On

A range of support is available for you to access throughout your time here, whether you’re struggling with something particular or need some general advice and guidance.

Your health

If you have any concerns about your health, The University Health Service (UHS) is there for you. You will have been asked to register with UHS during your online pre-registration, but you can still register once you’re in Sheffield. We recommend registering as soon as possible.

Your wellbeing

University can be both an amazing and overwhelming experience, and at times you might need some support with your wellbeing and mental health.

Your course

Choosing your degree course is a big decision, and we know that things don’t always work out as planned. If you’re thinking about changing your course, it’s really important that you have all the essential information.

Safety and security

You should feel safe on campus, and we encourage you to report and seek support for any incidents or concerns.

Other support

If you need support on something that isn’t covered above, see our Student Services Information Desk site (SSiD) for further advice and guidance.
