Public Engagement

Delivering a year-round programme of events, exhibitions and activities, in the city and online, to engage the public with our world-class research.

We’re working with creative and cultural partners to co-create projects and activities which add to the region's vibrancy, from festivals and exhibitions to green space and regeneration initiatives. We work with partners to showcase the strengths of the city as well as supporting the recovery of the cultural sector. Public Engagement is delivered by the City, Culture and Public Engagement Team.

Festival of the Mind 2024: Call for public engagement projects

We are now accepting applications for projects to feature in the next Festival in September 2024. Funding of up to £5,000 is available.

Festival of the Mind is a biennial celebration of our University's world-class research, showcasing collaborative projects produced by academics from the University and artistic talent from Sheffield's creative industries.
