Certain corners of Sheffield are defined by the food and drink they offer. Whether you're into street food or pub grub, you’ll find something to satisfy your tastebuds.

Take yourself to London Road for a culinary tour around the world. Sample Greek, Turkish, Chinese, Malaysian, Japanese, Mexican and more all within a five-minute walk. Head to Kelham Island for a local beer. Or The Devonshire Quarter for independent coffee shops.

Enjoy colourful cocktails at some of the city's best bars including Piña, Picture House Social and Forum. Or try delicious street food at our monthly Peddler Market.

During my time in Sheffield, I found the city to be lively and multicultural and was delighted to find cuisine options, from Middle Eastern food and halal options to South and East Asian and European food.

Eating on a student budget is really easy and there are lots of affordable places around campus. Within 30 minutes walk from campus there are restaurants from around the globe – Chinese, Italian, Caribbean, Thai, Lebanese, Japanese as well as British/ American food.

Having all these options is great for the adventurous eater and for international students, there is bound to be a place that reminds you of home.

Veggie and vegan

You can find incredible vegan and vegetarian food across Sheffield. Fully vegan outlets include Church: Temple of Fun or you can try more colourful veggie treats at Pom Kitchen and South Street Kitchen.

Food on campus

If you get peckish on campus, there's over 20 cafes to choose from across the university offering tasty, convenient and ethically sourced bites.
