We make a difference

At Sheffield we’re makers.

We make wind turbines, aircraft parts, cute robots and show stopping cakes

We make music, even when its been silenced 

We made a book to inspire girls, no, everyone

And helped communities influence policy in Nepal

We make sex better… with the first sexual rights charter for over 50s

We make life-changing treatments for      all      of       these

We made solar on stilts, to farm underneath

And grow food in containers here… and in old mattresses here

We make new materials to support buildings… people with MND and we support each other too 

We make ways to protect the Andean cloud forest… our local forest

And we make keep our city the UK's greenest

At Sheffield we make lots of stuff…but mainly we make a difference

This is the future. And it will be Sheffield made.
