Sophie Baggs

Hi, I’m Sophie and I am a Student Recruitment Assistant. I’m originally from Surrey but decided to travel a bit further north for university and I graduated from the University of Sheffield in July 2023 after completing my Biomedical Sciences degree. I am so excited to start helping prospective students decide whether Sheffield is right for them by answering any queries they might have and giving them the highlights of this amazing city!

During my time at university, I was part of the women’s rugby club which provided me with so many incredible experiences and it was where I met some of my best friends. I will always recommend joining a sports club or society and Sheffield has so many to offer which means there really is something for everyone. 

I fell in love with Sheffield while studying here, so much so that I have decided to stay and live in the city. There are lots of different things to do in your spare time and one of my favourites is going on a run or a walk in one of the many parks Sheffield has to offer or around a reservoir in the Peak District.
