The Chaplaincy Centre at the University of Sheffield is here for students of any faith, any religion, or none. We support your student journey, from open day to graduation.
Listening support from the Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy Centre offers a non-judgemental listening ear service, via a one to one conversation appointment.
If you want listening support, you can book in by emailing chaplaincy@sheffield.ac.uk , appointments are usually available within 3 to 5 days of requesting.
Chaplaincy facilities on campus
The Chaplaincy Centre is open 9.30am-5pm Monday to Friday during semesters.
Facilities, including a room for prayer, worship, quiet reflection and meditation, are available to all members of the University. There is also a Common Room for meetings and individuals, with tea and coffe available.
Student Faith Societies (registered with the Union of Students) are welcome to book these facilities for meetings and workshops.
Muslim Prayer Rooms are situated in the Students’ Union and nearby the Information Commons, Diamond , George Porter, Firth Court, and inside the AMRC. Please see here for more information.

The Chaplaincy is proud to be a donation point for the PXI independent foodbank, but PXI is so much more than that.
International Merit Scholarships
We offer a generous package of financial support for international students including 75 undergraduate scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee and 125 postgraduate taught scholarships worth £5,000 towards the tuition fee. Applications are now open for existing offer holders.
