PhD Funding Opportunities for 2024-25 entry
A number of University of Sheffield and UKRI funded scholarships are now available.
To be eligible to apply for and be considered for any of the available scholarships with the Management School you must submit your application for a place to study by Wednesday 3 January 2024 via the Postgraduate Application System.

- Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) White Rose Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (WRDTP) Scholarships
- Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) White Rose College of Arts and Humanities (WRoCAH) Scholarships
You must apply for a PhD scholarship at the time of applying for your place on the PhD programme for all the above schemes, apart from WRoCAH where the scholarship application goes directly to them.
Your scholarship application will then be considered, if and after you have been accepted on the programme.
Applying for a scholarship
Whilst the central scholarship deadline listed is 24 January 2024 at 5pm (UK time), the deadline to be considered any of these scholarships within the Management School is 3 January 2024 for all schemes.
You should discuss the most appropriate scholarship for you with your potential supervisor. Scholarships are very competitive, and your application will need to be tailored to the most appropriate source. There are also different routes for scholarship applications, and your supervisor will be able to advise once you have established the most appropriate scholarship application for you.
