Ophthalmology and Orthoptics taster session
Get an overview of the role of an orthoptist and what it's like to study at Sheffield. You'll also get the chance to explore how our eyes work together and, by the end, be able to explain what happens when our eyes don't work together. You'll also be able to chat with current students.
Why do we see double?
In this detailed Orthoptics taster session, you'll learn what the role of an orthoptist in eye care entails and what studying the programme at the University of Sheffield is like. We'll explore how the eyes work together and why, sometimes, they don't and why this might happen. You'll hear from current Orthoptics students and staff and have the chance to ask any question you have.
It was a great opportunity to really get into the depth of the role of an orthoptists and also experience a mini lecture and learn about how the eye works
