Dr Melika Gul is a lecturer in Experimental Fluid Mechanics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield. She specialises in experimental fluid mechanics, turbulence and optical flow diagnostics.
She received her BS and MS degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. She obtained her PhD in Fluid Mechanics (Process and Energy Department/Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering) from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands (2019).
Before joining Sheffield, Melika was a Research Associate in the Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics group at the University of Southampton (2018-2021).
