After completing my BSc in Psychology at the University of Nottingham, and an MSc in Translational Neuropathology at the University of Sheffield, I worked in a variety of widening participation roles, including for the Higher Education Progression Partnership at Sheffield Hallam, and delivering careers workshops for science communication company Medical Mavericks.
I soon decided I wanted to work more directly with students and began a two year part-time PGCE with the University of Derby. During this time, I taught on a variety of pathways within both FE and HE, with most of my time spent teaching Access to HE students at Chesterfield college. This led me to then join the DLL as a University Tutor on Introduction to Psychology in 2022.
