Alumni
Your relationship with us doesn’t end when you graduate. We maintain a strong network which allows our students, staff and alumni to benefit from one another.
As soon as you graduate you automatically become a lifetime member of the University. To access benefits and services as an alumni make sure you register and keep your details up to date.
A global community of alumni
Our graduates go on to have varied and rewarding careers all around the world and at last count, we had alumni practicing in over 70 countries.
With Sheffield graduates so well represented within UK practices, there’s a strong possibility that wherever you go on to work, you could meet fellow former students. We’re proud of the positive impact they are having both on the built environment and the profession as a whole.
Keep in touch
Our alumni regularly win awards and attract positive attention for their work. Many work with some of the top landscape architecture practices worldwide, while others have started their own companies or work in grassroots organisations.
We’re interested in hearing what our alumni have been getting up to. If you would like to share details of any exciting news you have, or if you would like to write a graduate profile please email: h.whitelam@sheffield.ac.uk
Events and research updates
We welcome our alumni to a number of events throughout the year, including guest lectures, conferences and employability events in the department.
The Summer Exhibition provides a fantastic opportunity to revisit the department and to explore the work our current students are producing.
For alumni working in practice, there are opportunities to attend our on-campus employers’ event to meet current students and promote your work.
Our digital publication Research for Landscape Practice provides an accessible digest of the latest research emerging from the department.
