We have since grown to become the largest Control and Systems Engineering Department in Europe, with over 130 academic staff, research assistants and research students and over 300 undergraduate and postgraduate degree students. Our growth has been due both to the increasing demand for education in the area and the effects of rapid changes in computing technology.

We provide a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses, and research degrees offering opportunities for postgraduate training in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering and associated topics.

Our location

The department is situated within two buildings, the Amy Johnson Building and the Sir Henry Stephenson Building, both of which are close to the Mappin Street area of campus.

Information, maps and travel advice for visitors can be found here.
